Hi Reader, Welcome– I'm happy you're here! I'm excited to begin From the FARMBREAD Kitchen—a place where I can share a little more of what I'm baking, learning and experimenting with, along with simple recipes, breadmaking tips and new videos. Like most kitchens, I hope this can be a place where we come together, too. I always love hearing your questions, ideas and what you're working on in your own kitchen. This week in the kitchen...With fall baking season just around the corner, I've been thinking a lot about sourdough starters lately—especially what happens after you've created one and baked that exciting first loaf. You have this beautiful, healthy starter you've worked so hard to create...now what do you do with it? I've gotten quite a few questions about this, so I recently shared a new video on my Youtube Channel walking through how I care for my starter long-term—from feeding and refrigeration to getting it ready when I want to bake again. Watch the video below: I hope you find it helpful! And as we get started here, I'd love to hear from you. What are you baking? What would you like to learn more about? What questions keep coming up in your kitchen? Just hit reply and let me know. Your questions and ideas often inspire what I make next. I'm really looking forward to sharing more with you. All the best, P.S. If you're new to sourdough and would like some help getting started, my Sourdough: From Starter to Your First Loaf course walks you through the process one simple step at a time.
